30 Years of Loyalty... Zero Digital Presence... 30% More Revenue
Mr. Kold Kuts had been a neighborhood institution for 30 years. The food was great, the regulars were loyal, and the owner knew every customer by name. But the business had no website, no social media, no online ordering... nothing digital at all. In 2018, that was leaving money on the table every single day.
The Approach
I built their entire digital presence from zero. Website, social media profiles, online ordering system, and a content strategy that felt authentic to who they were... a family deli, not a chain trying to look hip. Every piece of content featured real food, real customers, and the personality that made the place special.
The online ordering system was the biggest unlock. Customers who had been calling in orders or walking in during rush hour could now order ahead. That meant faster service, less crowding, and more capacity without hiring a single extra person.
What Changed
Revenue jumped 30% within the first year. The online ordering channel alone accounted for a significant chunk of that... orders that literally didn't exist before. Their social following grew to over 1,200 local followers, which became a direct marketing channel for daily specials and seasonal promotions.
The Takeaway
Every enterprise gig I'd done before this had six-figure budgets and month-long timelines. This one had neither... and the results were more immediate than anything I'd seen at scale. It reset what I think 'digital transformation' actually means. Sometimes it's just making it easy for people to find you, order from you, and tell their friends.
